This morning I worked on editing the video and filming. This afternoon I had booked off with Heidi (the photographer) who said we could spend the afternoon together. It was so nice to get off campus and away from camp. First, we went to the "movie theatre" to see Jurassic world in 3D - $7.50!!! The tub of popcorn was so giant that we could both rummage around in there and not awkwardly cross hands! The film was pretty good too. Afterwards we headed into a trendy part of downtown Greensboro for some shopping and went searching round the line of gift, vintage and thrift shops, including a creepy witch shop. It was lovely, and Heidi is great fun, even if she is in her 50s and nearly got a spontaneous tattoo - only leaving once they told her they couldn't fit her in! In one of the vintage stores I fell in love with a gold US navy locket with an original picture of the naval solider inside it from ww2. I walked away but later on had to email the store to hold it for me till I can get back to collect it! It was one of those 'cant stop thinking about it' items.
We finished off the day in mellow mushroom. A really cool pizza place with stained glass windows and pizzas of never heard of before. We had a Greek salad to start and then I had a pizza on an olive oil and garlic base (no tomato) with sweet potato, caramelised onions and three cheeses
