Today was good. Spent the entire day in the office - which I now I call the cave - and only left for meals. Yesterday was the same as I've been editing the video ready for the "world premiere" to the rest of the staff after dinner tonight. Nervous!
... We had a technical problem so after Heidi's slideshow of still images everyone went off to do a reflection programme and they set up to show my video of staff week in the dance room. Everyone really enjoyed it and people said well done to me throughout the rest of the evening. At 9pm Alan told us all to go out to the parking lot for a surprise snack and there was a neon lit can with flashy lights giving out cups full with a dome of ice. You have to use the pumps attached to the side of the van to squirt coloured flavourings of your choice onto the ice, it was amazing! I had wedding cake and strawberry flavours mixed together and went round recommending it to everyone else, as did David after I convinced him to get it because it was crazy how spot on the wedding cake flavour tasted like Victoria sponge with fondant icing/actual wedding cake! People are being friendly today and including me, I even got a tap of acknowledgment on the shoulder from some kid I don't even know the name of! Then Tyler and his friends joined me in the office this evening - they're so cute and typically American, it's adorable. I'm going to make sure that Tyler sticks to his promise of taking me to Walmart and various other places he suggested as he's a local! So yeah, things are on the up and now just for an early night before the kids arrive tomorrow!
