21:45 - Today was my last official day on the trip. The next 2 days will be spent making my way back home. So this morning I got up, borrowed a book and went to the beach. Where I did nothing but read and relax all day. The weather was amazing today and although I spent the day in the shade, I seem to have caught a little sun :-). At around 5pm I made my way to the sunset dune with a hundred other souls or so and watched the sun come down on Jerico for the last time. After a scare with a big frog that crossed my path (got a young man staying at the pousada to come and entice the toad to move) and a shower I went for a little dinner. I wondered for a bit trying to talk myself into trying something new but...it was my last night after all, so I went back to Kazo :-). I had a chat with the lady owner (her mum is japanese). She moved to Jerico 10 years ago and used to run a Pousada. She opened Kazo 4 years ago. She only closes the place a couple of months a year (around May). She seems very nice and agreed with me that the ice cream at Grano is the best ice cream this side of the Atlantic :-).
I really hope to come back here some day, and to revisit some of the places that have really impressed me throughout the trip again. Realistically, it probably won't happen, but you never know. I'll go back to my room and pack now. And will see you all very soon.
