17:30 - I was picked up at 9sh this morning by Buggy to go to the Laguna Azul. The name of the driver was the equivalent of 'black John' :-). It was me and a young couple from London (she is Brazilian from Sao Paolo and he's Greek from Athen). It was great to have someone able to speak portuguese and therefore translate but also to be able to speak english :-). We first drove to Laguna Paradiso which is a huge lagoon of non salty water where we were dropped off at a pousada on the shore of the lake. We spent a couple of hours here, drinking caipirinha and swimming. Afterwards we drove to lagoon corazon which due to lack of water did not have the heart shape that makes it special, and then onto laguna Azul where we spent the rest of the afternoon (again swimming and drinking caipirinha). The weather kept changing between cloudy and sunny and we even had some drizzle at a certain point. It was a really lovely day and I enjoyed the buggy ride on the sand and the couple were good fun too. It was real fun. On the way back we drove to a tree all leaning on one side...it has a name but I can't remember. Most of the day back was driving on the beach so we got to go really fast :-))). The scenery throughout was pretty special and I am not at all sure that the pictures do it justice.
I've just had a shower and will be going for dinner earlier than normal as I have only had breakfast this morning and caipirinha as food...
