Yesterday was a bit of a strange one. My hopes of getting a ticket to the just announced kylie anti tour while I'm in Melbourne were dashed when they sold out....immediately! Thankfully kylie responded by announcing two further dates so I can try again tomorrow when I arrive in ayres rock. The unseasonably wet weather in Sydney that has caused flooding (!) proved a point by raining nearly continuously and this didn't improve my mood, having got a sore throat from walking around in wet shoes for a couple of hours at the previous day trip to the blue mountains. However we went for a smashing Thai meal in the evening and the new accomadation Derek and I both have a room in is really nice if not as homely or as well located at the gay scene as staying at Alfred's was. Discovered that Newtown on a wed eve is girls night so went home and played with Marie's beautiful three cats ( a Devon Rex and two burmese) and adorable pooch, Charlie who wanted to sleep with me, Barking mad indeed!
