From Ao Nang to Phi Phi took 3.5 hours by boat. The cheapest room I could find was 700 baht (14quid) so it was the same price as Blackpool!! same same but completely different!!
It was a really small island and everything was really quick and easy to get to. The only transport is by bicycles. there are no motor bikes or anything, which was good for a change but instead of pressing the horn all of the time, if someone goes past you on a bicycle they say "beep beep" haha quite funny.
Went up to Phi Phi's view point, which was amazing. When the tsunami happened, Phi Phi was really badly hit and hit the islands from both sides. The lad I walked up to the top with Matt, explained how his mums best friends family all died apart from the sons girlfriend, and he said shes really f***ed in the head now. So when I was looking from the view point, and how thin it is from one side to the other, you can see actually how badly it must have been hit...pretty sick like.
Went to a bar called "Rolling Stoned Bar" and was talking to a German lad, who has been travelling for nine years and has been to eighty countries. He got a tattoo on his arm and didnt like it, so he got it completely covered, bit strange like!! but to be fair he was German so that probably explains it haha.
The next day me, Matt, Martina, and Rob who i met in Koh Tao, rented a boat out for the day to explore. First we went to sharks bay to go snorkling. Apparently its really hard to actually see a shark in the day, mainly they either come out in the morning or the night. The water was so clear, and could see so many fish it was amazing. I was following a needle fish, which looks like a sword fish, and as I turned left, a shark about eight foot, and about two metres infront of me swam past me. I could not believe it. It was unbelievable but f***ing scary.
We went to the beach where the film the "beach" was filmed, which was average, and I got my camera wet and broke it, which was less than average, and then we saw the sunset on the boat which was above average, and then went back!!
There is a bar in Phi Phi called the reggae reggae bar, and there is a boxing ring inside. If tourists get up to fight and you win, you get a whisky bucket for free!! I went up to ask about it, even though I had had a few beers in the day, and they said I could not fight as there was exhibitions on!! So even though I was only thinking about getting in, I couldnt which was probably a good idea!!
I was walking home one night from a bar called Hippies Bar, and a thai woman grabbed me!! I said im not interested, thinking she was coming on to me, and then I saw she was crying and had a naughty black eye. She said she had been beaten up by her "boyfriend", blatentely someone who had just been doing rudies with her. Anyway she begged me to walk her home as she was scared stiff. So I had to walk a prostitute home haha She offered me 200 baht which is four quid, so I punched her in the ribs and took it haha only joking, I just took the money haha, no I just walked off really!!!
On the last night I got drunk with a really sound lad I met called Raz. At the end of the night, I went to get my flip flops from where i had put them. The only two flip flops left was one havianas flip flop and one quick silver flip flop, so I had to take them haha scatty days. The next day the ferry to Krabi was leaving at 9.30am. I woke up late and hungover. I was running to where the ferry was leaving and it had already left. So i got a speed boat to the ferry for 4 quid and the boat driver rang the ferry up, and it stopped whilst I got on!! everyone walked to the back of the ferry to see what was happening. As I got on everyone started clapping me haha I was still drunk.
