Ruthie's Travels
Okay..having some down time here..really love Samui..beautiful place. We spent the first few days on the north of the island in a place called big budda beach. This reminded us of koh Lanta in that it was away from the resorts and so the beach was practically empty- as were the bars restaraunts. We didn't do an awful lot here- just sunbathed-chilled out etc. We stayed in a beach bungalow with decking for reading/playing games on etc. The food menu was fantastic with all the currys i'd been keen to try since i did my cooking class i tried the Penang, Massam and yellow curries which were delish and only a wee bit spicy..although i think my sisters would beg to differ on that one!..at least i'm finally building up a tolerance of spicy food.
We then travelled down to the main beach called Cheweng and from here we took a day trip to the Anong National Park to the west of Kho Samui and Kho PangNang. This place was amaxing i think some of the beach was fimed here. We arrived on a beautiful beach late morning and decided to visit the caves..not realising that the caves were at the top of a hill that meant we had an unexpected jungle treck/rock climb ahead of us..my legs stillache and i definatly surprised myself at times at the angles i could reach with my legs..clearly still a bit of the ballerina in me..sore today though but great fun! We did some Kayaking which i've decided i love and the night after we went out to a large lake for an all night party..yes i was still bouncing up and down on stage at 5.30 in the morning..god knows where i got the energy!!
