Bit of a nothing day today. Inevitably I got Porter Family holiday weather - was bound to happen sometime or other. So, it's cold, it's raining enough to be annoying and it's windy.

Actually, it's not too bad. Had a glass of wine with dinner last night, got back to the hotel & pretty much passed out - honestly, one glass of wine & I'm fast asleep!! Then the phantom door slammer struck at stupid o'clock this morning - you know the one you always get in hotels, who slams their door shut at all hours of the day & night - so my morning sleep was a bit messed up. The fog came in overnight & heard the fog horn going again, so slept in and had a late breakfast.

Then had some admin to do, checking transfers, paying bills etc as tomorrow is a travel day to Jo'burg for my safari to Kruger, so have managed to pretty much use up the whole morning.

Been checking the weather in Kruger & as near as I can work out it's looking to be about 30+ degrees. I AM GOING TO DIE!!!! Not sure how I will cope in the heat & hope that the game drives have lots of shade. Started taking my anti malarials - the new ones you only have to take few days before & the week after, which is great. Last time I took anti malarials for 6 weeks I was sick as a dog by the end of it.

So, will go & get some lunch in a bit and maybe take a wander around the V&A shops, as I have discovered that my daybag I bought is not really up to the job and doesn't hold as much as I thought, including my water flask or a reasonable sized water bottle, so may have to replace it with something a bit more practical!

So, maybe out of touch for a bit, until next week, as not sure how tech'ed up my Lodge in Kruger will be & actually don't fancy dragging masses of luggage there with me. So, if you don't see any entries for a few days, don't worry, I'll be back next week!
