Today we headed further north to Rotorua! On the waybwe stopped off at the Craters of the Moon, 5km's from Taupo!
This is a geothermal area with steam vents and mud pools, very eerie, we got there and it was raining like crazy so geared up in walking boots and kags, the rain was cold but the steam coming off the craters was hot, great experience! Will try and get pics up soon!:)
Then we arrived at Kerosene creek, after a 2km road of pot holes we donned our bikini's and shorts and took a hot water dip in the natural thermal pool for free! Was a bit dirty and smelt of sulphur, but we felt very at one with nature!haha!:)
Then we got to Rotorua, found a campsite, then headed into town and tried our hands at Archery!
Well, its definately in Matts welsh blood but I'm not so sure about me!:) Had a helpful Archer to guide us but matt beat me with 530 points, I scored a measely 230!But apparently it was better than average!:) Welsh long bow-men/women!
So we have been pretty busy since we got here on friday!
Our mobile doesn't work here though so sorry about that, might find a way to get it sorted but who knows, email is the only way for communication for now!:)
And, we are a further 2 hours ahead, New Zealand is 12hours ahead, but I worked out we are 13 which doesn't make any sense so who knows! But we are pretty far away right now!Not long left!Hope all is good at home!
Speak soon, love han and matt xxx
