Ross and Nina Uncut
We left Adelaide by bus and ended up in a small rural town called Naracoorte. The town was pretty small and there wasnt much in the place apart from a couple of pubs and a supermarket. However we had been promised jobs at a workers backpackers hostel so we got off the bus.
The backpackers itself wasnt the best maintained but everyone was really friendly and we met some good friends during our time there. The work was out in the vineyards which are everywhere in this region. Nina got to wrap the vines down to the wire for an hourly rate whilst ross had to prune the vines themself, earning 45 cents (19p) for every vine he did.
It was hard going and the money wasnt great but as there wasnt much to spend our money on we managed to save a fair we bit. We stayed for three weeks and we were fairly happy to leave!
