We managed to fit in a lot during the rest of our time in Tokyo including visiting the national museum which has lots of traditional Japanese dress, paintings and samurai swords. It is situated in an area of Tokyo called Ueno which has a lovelly park and several other museums. The only other one we visited was a museum that showed life in Japan before the war flattened the city.
We also took an afternoon to the harbour in Tokyo which has a SEGA amuseument park and we had fun playing some of the arcade games there. We also visited a gambling den which are everywhere in Tokyo and played electronic horses which was a great laugh!
One of the best bits of our trip in Japan was attending the national theatre and taking in a traditional japanese play(with english translation). The acting was really good and you could have worked out very easily what was happening even without the headphones.
On our last day we visited the district of Tokyo traditionally assosciated with sumo wrestling. We visited the museum but we could only see the outside of the huge sumo wrestling arena as there were no competitions on when we were there.
We really enjoyed our time in Japan and would love to come back and see more of the country in the future. The japanese were an odd bunch but they seemed nice enough. Has to be one of the nicest and well presented countries we have been to.
