Ha Long bay was the next visit. The bay is made of 2000 bizarrely shaped limestone rocks....so beautiful. We stayed overnight on a pirate looking ship and had our own wooden cabin with aircon and shower/toilet....I was very impressed ! We went to a huge echoing cave...the larges we have ever seen and did another 15 km trek through a jungle mountain. We saw amazing colourful red crabs that lives inland and huge spiders...not for the faint hearted. We travel...

We travelled by sleeper train ( how excited where we !) to the fascinating Sapa, located in the Northern Mountains of Vietnam. We did a sweaty 35km trek through the mountains and met the most beautiful ethnic minorities. The views are undiscribable! Rice paddies, Water buffalo's and the kids from the villages where our companions for hours of walking. I completely fell in love with a 10 year old Mau girl called Vien. She spoke perfect English and I really wanted...

Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam . It is not as modern as Saigon but the shopping was incredible. We have bought a cubic meter of goodies for no money at all and it is on its way to England. We did spend our pounds here. Ross see lots of stuff for his shop. Went to an amazing village called Bat Trang they will make any pot, plate, tea set anything you want in any colour or patten. We arrived in Hue late afternoon and found a hotel and crashed. We then travelled to one of Vietnam's most pleasant towns, Hoi An. Anyone who loves a bit of shopping would go mad for this place. We struggled to keep the dollars in our pockets. It is an amazing little old town with French influences and has the quaintest coffee and cake shops. Ross had cakes 2 nights in a row on a backpackers budget and I watched. There are tailor shops on most of the corners so we had suits, jackets, shirts, trousers and even a tie tailor mad...
