We travelled by sleeper train ( how excited where we !) to the fascinating Sapa, located in the Northern Mountains of Vietnam. We did a sweaty 35km trek through the mountains and met the most beautiful ethnic minorities. The views are undiscribable! Rice paddies, Water buffalo's and the kids from the villages where our companions for hours of walking. I completely fell in love with a 10 year old Mau girl called Vien. She spoke perfect English and I really wanted to bring her home with me. So far this experience has been the highlight of our travels. We stayed overnight in a village house and got completely plastered with Su and So on rice wine. It is not the tastiest of drinks but after the 10th shot you don't even realize it is made of rice !!!
