Ross and Gabs Travels
Mulwala/Yarrawonga on the Murray is where we live. We love it here, because of the rural lifestyle and wonderful people who live here, However in winter the nights are freezing and the days' temperatures, even though it is quite often sunny. are still cool. Winter time is a time to set off for warmer climates such as those found in the northern parts of Australia above the Tropic of Capricorn. Other years we have been held to a timetable because of work commitments, but this year will be different as we will both be retired and not tied down by anything except health and money
Work (paid employment) ceases on the 19th July and we intend to head north as near to that date as possible.
We are so looking forward to travelling without worrying about time constraints. we also intend to free camp regularly to conserve our funds and to experience camping without all the mod cons that a caravan park offers.
We plan to make this trip about the journey. not the destination, although one goal will be to call in on Roscoe's brother who lives in Rockhampton, Qld.
The caravan has been packed for weeks with everything ready except for food. So roll on July we can't wait!!!
