hello,
We spent another day in Nha Trang, and the weather today was good, for the morning at least. Julia and I went diving this morning. it is hte first time i have ever been, but Julia has her PADI. I went diving twice, and really enjoyed it! I have done snorkling before, but going deeper and getting to see the beautiful coral up close and swim among the fishes was really cool. i found the breathing bit easy, but had quite a few propblems with trying to equalise the pressure in my ears, which was quite painful. This afternoon we went to the beachfor a biot, but turned overcast so back at hotel now. Julia and i are planning to do a booze cruise tomorrow, depending on what the weater is like when we wake up. Then in the evening we are on the night bus again on route to Hoi An, which will be a 12 hour journey.
One of the things i thought when i came travelling was that i would loose weight, just eating rice and walking al lot, but this is a complete myth, as i found out when i first got here and poeople laughted at me when i suggested so. the food is not only gorgeous, so you eat a lot of it, but fried rice, curry, smoothies, and fried breakfasts are certainly meaning that i am piling on weight at the moment. you also dont get much chance to do any exercise, so there is no way to loose it. dammit. maybe getting away from nha trang and being less lazy will help. Also Julia encourages me to eat (never seen anyone eat like her, and she is a rake, so annoying) and ice cream and m&m's are just too tempting. word of advice, if you want to loose weight dont come travelling.
I have added some more pics and videos now (check out the one of me trying to cross the road in Saigon, interesting), and am still very happy camera is now fixed. i didbnt even have to contact the crazy person who was stalking me who i met in Cambodia (long story) who was an expert with cameras. Yes!
