Hey, hey, hey.
Guess what your in luck!
You get to hear an awesome story that is true and it happened to me on the 24 January 2013 in the camper van in New Zealand.
Here it is…
At night when we were trying to find a parking spot because we were NOT going to a campground- we were wild camping. It got too late so we went close to the beach to sleep but before I went to bed I just had to go to the beach so I did. Then when I came back I had good but also very bad feelings in my body. The good feeling was that I made a 2013 sign in the sand. The bad feeling was there was like 100 bugs, so quickly we went and ended up going to a campground.
Now I am going to tell you some questions and facts that I have that I thought of:
On one side of New Zealand there is the Tasman Sea, and on the other side is the Pacific Ocean.
I have not been to Queenstown, NZ yet but it seems very popular because there are a lot of fun activities there.
On the way to a good wild camping spot (which didn't really work out as you know) we saw lots and lots- a googolplex- of cows!!!!
Here are my questions…you have to scroll down for the answers:
1. What animals live in New Zealand?
2. What are the palm trees that have tops that look like ferns called?
Answers:
1. Dolphin- Dusky dolphin, Common dolphin, Bottlenose dolphin, Killer whale, Hectors dolphin, Maui's dolphin. Seals- Elephant seal, New Zealand fur seal, Leopard seal, Sea lions. Whales- Humpback whales, Sperm whales, Southern right whale. Wallaby. Kiwi. Sheep. Alpaca (these are really cute and I have put one as my photo for this blog). Eels. Possums. THERE ARE NO SNAKES IN NEW ZEALAND!!!!!!!
2. The Tree Fern (Here are some little facts about them.)
-They only live in the southern hemisphere
-They love to live in rain forests.
-I have only seen them in Australia and New Zealand.
-The Maori's ate the roots of the tree fern. You can eat other parts of the fern but only after they have been cooked.
P.s. Here is a little experiment:
If you look at Maori art work you can try to see if you can see any plants because I have heard that Maoris paint what they see and they look at nature a lot.
