Today my classroom was the camper van we had a nice long drive and I learned that you could mostly tell how old a river is by how twisty and turny it is. Here is how you tell…the more turns a river has the older it is.
If a river is young then there won't be a lot a turns. Sadly you can't tell exactly how old it is but you can tell if its young or very old or just old. P.s. this myth is not always right but it works most of the time.
Oh dear I almost forgot to tell where we were driving to! So we were driving from Hokitika to Franz Josef. The ride was so long that almost half of the time I was just sleeping! The other time I was either on photo booth or I was writing on my computer. My sister Annabella was sitting in the front.. oh and remember we are in a camper van..and my other sister was sitting in the back with me. She was either reading, writing or on photo booth. Then my dad was the one doing all the work and driving. My mom was either writing or sleeping she was sitting in the back.
The camper van is really working out for me and I am enjoying our time and how we use it. Today I think that something very important happened and that is that my mom said a very interesting thing and that was…
My mom said that she could live in one outfit! I really think she could do it!
Her clothes are special outdoor camping clothes- she said that she can get her clothes wet then take her clothes off and hang them then jump in a lake and by the time she got out her clothes would be dry! Don't you think that is awesome!
Today we arrived in a new town as I said before its called Franz Josef and it has a big glacier. We booked a glacier hike and we are going to do it tomorrow.
Let me tell you more! We are going to wake up and at 12:00 pm we will go to a place and they will take me and my family on a helicopter to hike on a glacier. When we get to the glacier we will hike for 2 hrs then the helicopter will come pick us back up and we will go to some thermal pools. O yes nice and hot! So that is kind of what we did today and will be so, so, so excited to do tomorrow. Bye, miss you!
