Sicily was such a fun trip, not only because of Sicily but also because of how I got there. Let me start from the beginning.
It all started as a ferry ride, we entered a big white tent with many stations and loads of lines and luggage. We waited in line forever and went through a process in which I was not totally sure what it was. See now I thought we were just going on a ferry ride to the airport so I had no care in the world, I was not paying the slightest bit of attention. My parents secret spy Olivia was making sure to keep us away from the conversation happening at the desk (as I later found out). Finally we entered the ship. We got wristbands and there were tables of brochures. My mom got kids club brochures from the lady handing them out. I said to her, "What are you doing were just riding to the airport. You should tell them maybe were on the wrong ship." I was freaking out thinking we were not going to the right place, our luggage would be lose, we would be stuck on the wrong ship. I now notice how blind-sided I was. We went to a main deck and my parents sat us down on a beach chair, holding hands, smiling. That when I new it….
CRUISE TIME!!!!!!!!!!!
We all came in to a huge group hug, then I found out Olivia knew. I also learned that she is much better at keeping secrets than I thought. Kudos to her. I turned around and looked at the ship, oh what a fun week I was going to have. That night we got settled into our family suite and toured the ship. They had a teenage dance club, multiple restaurants, multiple pools, and so much more. The next day I could not wait to get started, I remember walking next to the pool and there were lined chairs of people laying down and sun tanning and she whispers to me about all of the obese people sun tanning on a cruise ship, very American. Then we stop in Sicily and get off the boat, we walk around the beautiful town and eat some of their signature cannolis. Sicily was beautiful, the town was so cute and the cannolis were so amazing.
