There was something in the air that night, the stars were bright... a heart-felt tribute to those who sang their hearts out at our Nottingham leaving do!!! Last night in Tokyo... loved Japan. Now planning our week in the Whitsundays next...

Back in Tokyo after 2 hectic days in Hiroshima and Kyoto... well worth the effort though... Hiroshima is a fab city... a terrible past, but now a really relaxed, attractive place with lots of goings on and lovely streets and parks. Miyajima yesterday was probably the highlight so far... a beautiful island with amazing scenery and temples and the torii gate in the sea is pretty cool too. We were nearly killed by a dear with antlers (a stag, maybe), but we surv...

Hi there! Writing from Kyoto after a hectic yesterday afternoon, night and morning in Hiroshima... the A-dome and the peace park very impressive, then the shrine and Torii gate at Miyajima were fabulous... One of Top 3 Site of Japan! Arrived back in Kyoto this afternoon and we have a morning here tomorrow before heading back to Tokyo for 2 more days of neon madness! Won't stay long as the keyboard wants to type in Kanji! Rach is amazed at the inability of jap...
