Back in Tokyo after 2 hectic days in Hiroshima and Kyoto... well worth the effort though... Hiroshima is a fab city... a terrible past, but now a really relaxed, attractive place with lots of goings on and lovely streets and parks.

Miyajima yesterday was probably the highlight so far... a beautiful island with amazing scenery and temples and the torii gate in the sea is pretty cool too. We were nearly killed by a dear with antlers (a stag, maybe), but we survived in one piece!

We got to Kyoto last night and that's a wonderful place too. The Golden Palace is breathtaking and the Zen Garden at Roanji needs to be comtemplated at length! Rach is on the fence about the whole zen / buddhist thing... and probably rightly so! As for me, i clearly saw the lion cub making its way across the mountain stream and don't know what the fuss is about!!!

Anyhow... back to Tokyo this evening. Ate at Mito... best Indian in Tokyo... had drinks at Agave in Roppongi... great Margheritas and Mariachi music... It's now 11.40pm in A971 Bar... full of foreign nobheads... off to Karaoke shortly... i was made for this town!!!

Funny story... a bevis never arrived early for anything...except moving into my house!!! Mum returned home to clean on Saturday and Bevis Junior had already got his feet under my table! Enjoy new year's eve!!!
