After a couple of nice laid back days in Xiamen, we've just arrived in the madness of Hong Kong. Stunning views from the Kowloon waterfront across to Hong Kong island earlier and we're about to take the Star Ferry across the water.

Highlight in Xiamen was Gulang Yu Island which we took the ferry round before having a walk through its mediterranean style streets... very nice.

Last couple of days in China now, though Hong Kong feels like we've left China long behind. Chalk and, quite literally, cheese!

Looking forward to Bangkok this weekend... it's the general election on sunday as they look to reinstate Shinawatra after last year's military coup... that should be interesting. Hopefully there won't be tanks on the streets on christmas day!!!
