We have now travelled south a little bit to Airlie Beach for 5 days as a breather before we go to Bowen on Sunday.
We went across to Magnetic Island on Monday and it wasn't quite what we were expecting,I always pictured it as being bigger somehow but it was quite small,but at least we can say we have been there now and will not always be wondering what it is like.
We arrived in Airlie Beach yesterday and we are looking forward to having 5 days of doing nothing but relaxing. We got a bonus on arrival as they upgraded us to an ensuite site for our stay which is even better. It is a lovely park,nice and quiet and there are not many people here,whereas at Townsville we were packed in like sardines which tends to be a bit claustrophobic.
I particularly like it here because it has shops, I have been having shopping withdrawal symptoms due to lack of any decent shopping centres,so I am looking forward to going for a browse .
