We have found a lovely little oasis in the back of Bourke,on a cattle station just out of town. It is so pretty here and the weather is a perfect 27,although we did get a bit lost this morning when they had a detour in the middle of town and we found ourselves heading for Brewarrina. You have to be a but wary on the road as there is lots of wild goats,pigs,emus,roos sheep and cattle grazing on the side of the road.

We are now in Cobar, we did 560kms on Monday and arrived here about 3.30 and were so tired we didn't get a chance to look around so we are staying another day. There is a bit to see here so we went and had a look at the open cut and saw the big trucks working their way out if the mine with their huge load, it was fascinating. I thing it was copper they are mining but not too sure. It is lovely and warm here and it is nice to get a bit of warmth into the old body...

Day 2 and we have made it to Cobar, probably did a few too many Kms today but there is not much between here and Deniliquin . It is so much warmer up here we are already in shorts and t- shirts, we will probably head off to Burke tommorrow.

Well it is day 1 of our holiday and we have made it to Deniliquin. We made good time here and we are now sitting on the banks of the Edwards river relaxing and enjoying the sun. The car went really well and we got 340 km out of a tank of gas and still had a tank of fuel, so there is no worries about running out of fuel this trip.
