We are now into week 3 at Bowen and we have moved to another site in the park. We found that the regulars that had been coming up for the past 20-30 years completely dominated the whole end of the park that we were in. They would have their nightly circle where they would all get together and be loud and gave you the impression that it was an exclusive circle no strangers allowed. They would also get up early and start talking and laughing right outside your van or their husbands would start up their diesel cars with their boats on the back and idle them for ages. They were also really rude and wouldn't talk to you if you weren't one of the regulars, they were awful so we saw a site up near the beach and asked if it was available and luckily it was so we have moved and it is so much nicer up here, and you can even see and here the sea from here.
The weather has been a bit cloudy although the days have still been warm and we are still swimming every day. The sea is a bit rough at the moment not as smooth as we are used to so we haven't done as much snorkelling as we would have liked. We are getting very brown as there is not much to do but lie on the beach and reading so we are really rested and relaxed.
We have booked into 1770 which is about 750 Kms south of here for a few days as we have never been there, then we will probably head back inland and head home from there.
