The Qantas A380 departed Singapore 30 minutes late at 11.45pm. It was a long 13.5 hours. I now say that I can tick off more countries that "I've been to", because we flew over India, Pakistan, Afghanistan and other "..stans", Russia, Poland, Germany and Denmark before arriving at London Heathrow at 5am - 25 minutes early.
An efficient transfer fromTerminal 3 to Terminal 5 - 45 minutes from leaving the aircraft, bus and security screening until arriving at Terminal 5 British Airways Lounge.
Good short 2 hour flight. Service on British Airways nothing special. Breakfast was a cold egg and sausage roll and frosty service from the FAs.
Beautiful coming in over the coast of Norway, snow on the ground, frozen rivers and beautiful scenery - a promise
of things to come no doubt. Snow on the airport but a clear day - 3 degrees.
Arrival formalities easy, passport check but no baggage check.
We were in Norway!
A 200 metre walk and we were in the Hotel.
Nothing planned for the rest of the day except rest.
Tomorrow it's off to Tromso. Good night from Oslo.
