Monday the 29th, I did go to the Aquarium, it was very cool. Didn’t stay for too long! Also chilled out on the beach and sat in a few bars and had a few beers in the sun!
Later on I managed to sit in another bar for a few hours, get some food and a few more beers and update all my journal entries and photo’s!
Later on I popped back home to freshen up and then headed back down to St Kilda. . . . I was on my own tonight, so mozied on up to the renowned ‘Espy’ to try and catch some live music. . . . Got to see a great band, a guy called Jaimi Faulkner. They were a 4 piece band, but all were excellent, a cool dude on Bass guitar, an awesome drummer, a guy on the keyboard playing a sound like an organ and the lead guitar / singer was tremendous! I was very impressed!

I did however make the same mistake as the other night and had a vodka redbull and the redbull managed to keep me awake again when I got home. . . . hmmmmm! I think it is stronger here?!?!
Anyway, still had a good night.
30th Jan, just headed down a street that I hadn’t done yet (Chapel St), there are lots of shops and it’s good for people watching! I walked til I got bored, then jumped on a tram and headed to the Botanical Gardens, as I hadn’t been there yet! Chilled there for a few hours and read, I think!?! I have given up on the book I swopped with the Canadian guy in Fiji and managed to buy myself a few more books from one of the many markets around Melbourne. I bought ‘The Beach’, which I have been advised to read when I am actually in Thailand and The DaVinci Code. . . . Well, I read ‘Angels and Demons” and really enjoyed it and this is the follow on, so, hey whatever! Also, not seen the film, so it shouldn’t get ruined!
That night, I attempted the casino again. . . . Bad idea! Well, I had a good night, just didn’t win any money. . . . Chatted to a few coolio people and then tried to get the late tram home. . . . Doh! I missed by a few minutes and so did a girl standing at the stop looking somewhat perplexed?! I asked if she was ok and where she was going and in a quiet voice, she said St Kilda. . . . . I said not to worry, we can share a taxi. . . . ! Again in a more worried quiet voice, she said, I have no money. . . . . ! Now, don’t get me wrong, she was a nice looking, intelligent, maybe slightly studenty looking girl (Not a street bum). Now being a gentleman, I wasn’t gonna let here walk all the way home to St Kilda. . . . . So I said, “Jump in the taxi with me and I will drop you off”. She reluctantly agreed and off we went. . . . What a nice girl. . . Like I said, very intelligent, studying a Masters in art restoration. . . . . Anyway, dropped her off after a nice chat in the taxi and I went home, with a ‘sense of enormous wellbeing’ (quote – Blur Parklife!). Good deed of the day done and I slept like a baby!
So, another chillin day ahead of my. . . . It all started out quite nice with a good chat with Benny to catch up on all the gossip. . . . ! Sorry guys, not missin work. . . ! And I am now sat in one of my favorite Café / Bars, I have just had some Brunch, coffee and OJ and am now starting the afternoon with a beer. . . . . This is the life! Gonna upload my coolio pics from the Aquarium, then go for a walk!
So ciao for now people. . . .
