Hello again!

Well Sunday the 28th Jan was Festival Day. . .

The Big Day Out. . . .Now after much stress and a few misunderstandings about having tickets then not having tickets, both Chrissie and me were able to get tickets! Happy days. . . !

And what an awesome day it was! I got to see all the acts I wanted. . . From the line-up below:

The highlights of the day were meeting loads more new friends through Chrissie (I now have a contact in Adelaide and in Brisbane for when I am there).

Plus, obviously the music was the other highlight! Top performances from Lily Allen, My Chemical Romance, Kasabian (awesome), The Killers, Muse and Tool. . . . . I caught the end on Trivium’s performance, so I know that Matt and Russ will be proud!?!

I also manage 2 goes on the adrenaline ride ‘Mega Drop’ (see photo’s). Blimey, how awesome was that? You basically get taken up in the seat contraption and sit up there in the gods for a few seconds, that feels like forever and then you drop! Yes, drop! You are not sure whether to laugh, scream, shout or what, but there is a split second where you think, “God is this thing gonna stop?” But it does and then you get this great feeling and buzz! So much so that I went on again, straight away! The festival had a great friendly vibe to it and there didn’t seem to be any trouble. We all managed to split up to see what we wanted, but it was quite easy to get together again!

After the gig, we all piled back to Scott and his wife’s place (sorry – told you I am terrible with names). They had a great place about 15mins walking distance from where I was staying! We stayed there for an hour or so and then Chrissie and me legged it. We were knackered! Having said that, when I got home, I couldn’t sleep! Nothing new there then?!

So, that was that, A top day out!

Not much planned for this week, think I may go to the Melbourne Aquarium now I have had lunch and maybe the Zoo tomorrow. Then get ready for the weekend and leaving for my big adventures!
