Thursday 21st October

Today the weather was not so great...we had been spoiled by the gorgeous sunshine so it was a shock to see rain.lol. But anyway we didn't let it ruin the day, instead we hired a car and had a drive to Bowen which was about an hour away. Steve and Avril went to pick up our granny car which really suited Steve.... lilac brought out his feminine side (rob's words). We had a picture with the world's largest fake mango :) and had a look at some scenic spots which was lovely.

In the evening Rob and Steve convinced me and Avril to watch 'The Uninvited'...we managed to watch the whole film although some of it was spent with our eyes closed cowering behind our hands.

Friday 22nd October

We woke up to a beautiful sunny day so we decided to have a walk along the beach and then spent a few hours chilling by the lagoon which was really nice. After lunch we decided to play table tennis doubles...me and Avril took on Rob and Steve and yes we whipped their ass! (if you believe that you'll believe anything).

As it was our last night we went for a really nice meal and watched 'Avatar' back at the apartment.

Saturday 23rd October

We got picked up by the airport shuttle at midday so me and Avril spent the morning looking around Airlie beach markets which were great, whilst the boys chilled at the apartment and played cards. Steve gave us our flight entertainment falling asleep mid-flight with on cue jaw dropping/ head lolling movements for the camera!

We got back in the evening and had tea with Steve and Avril before heading back to Carol and Tom's.
