12th October 2010

Today we got up early and me and Rob went over to Manley. We started the day running for the bus and ended the day running for the bus.lol. To get to Manley we got the bus to Sydney city centre and then we went to Circular Key where you can get ferries to various places. The ferry over to Manley took 30minutes but what a bumpy ride....they did warn everyone (once on board) and they weren't kidding it rocked back and forth, and back and forth. and back and forth. lol. But it was well worth the ride as Manley was beautiful. The town overlooks the sea and there was a really lovely walk along the beach front which took you to 'shelley beach' which was gorgeous. After spending several hours here we sat on the beach with ice-cream before heading back on the ferry to the city centre. After running for the bus home we made it back and it was a girls night in whilst the boys went out for a bite to eat and to play snooker.

Today we had a really chilled day...no more running for buses instead we had a lovely lie in and late breakfast and in the afternoon we just had a stroll around the nearby shops to get a few bits for Carol's birthday. In the evening Steve came over and the lads played poker...and I don't want to name and shame but lets just say Rob's wallet was no richer.lol

14th October 2010

Carol's birthday today!! In the morning Carol opened all her presents and we then went to the cinema in the afternoon. The girls went to see 'Eat Pray Love' whilst the boys went to see 'The Town'. Film was ok but we wouldn't recommend it as must-see. After the movies we then went to have dessert at Max Brenner's chocolate shop...the girls were in heaven! There were dozens of desserts to choose from but me and Rob chose waffles with melted chocolate served with banana, strawberries and ice-cream, whilst Carol chose praline crepes. All were delicious! After rolling home we then had a few hours before we met Steve and Avril and we all went to the nearby social club for dinner which was lovely!

15th October

Today we are packing our bags as we are off to the Whitsunday's tomorrow! so excited! we don't know what the internet connection will be like so we will do our best to try and keep you all updated.
