Day 11: starting in the hills between Healesville and Marysville we decided to head to Marysville to see what it had to offer, before heading back to the Yarra Valley wineries. Marysville was pretty much totally destroyed by a bush fire in 2009, so is a big construction site with homes still being rebuilt. Day 10: we're back on the road, but have not moved far. Leaving Adam mid morning we headed out of Melbourne for our arranged rendezvous with friends from the UK Emma and Rob, and baby Henry. Day 9: Rest day in St Kilda. A late start following a lie in, then brunch at a cool cafe. A good start to the day. The afternoon we have spent doing our chores, washing and shopping ready for the next leg of our trip. This evening we have though christened Adams new gas BBQ at the local park. Day 8: Took a morning stroll from the camp at Tidal River over to Squeaky Beach. The views and beach were stunning. We seem to say that everyday, which is no bad thing. Sadly large parts of the park are still closed off, the roads and trails not yet repaired following majors floods and land slips last year. Day 8: we are now traveling west! After an early start and enjoying a short stroll on the beach before brekky we were ready to roll at 8.30.
