Day 8: Took a morning stroll from the camp at Tidal River over to Squeaky Beach. The views and beach were stunning. We seem to say that everyday, which is no bad thing. Sadly large parts of the park are still closed off, the roads and trails not yet repaired following majors floods and land slips last year. We couldn't go to some of the viewing areas in the hills, or head south to the point.
Setting off to St Kilda we followed Adam in his shiny new car, our old van doing it's best to keep up. We headed in land to pick up the freeway, stopping at Mirboo North for a spot of lunch. A nice little cafe did the job with another Aussie Pie, not the worlds best this time, but no complaints.
Dodging the big double trailer trucks doing 100 down the freeway we made our way St Kilda. Some last minute detours made around road closures from the weekend festival and we arrived at Adams place where chilled beer awaited.
This weekend was a free music festival at St Kilda so we headed for a night out. Pizza, beer and music is a good combo, but it takes a little getting used to crowds of people when you've spent a few days away from the city.
Tomorrow is chores day.
