Another morning, another walk , another Ric Shaw driver trying to sell a ride , and some local advise from him, when I was about to take a photo of a war memorial, so consequently , no photo. Back to hotel another sublime breakfast, checked out as we are flying to France leaving at 12.35 am, John and Sharmaine were kind enough to book their room for an extra night, (bags packed and left in their room). Kech apparently had more purchases at the lucky plaza, then up to the rooftop of the Grand for our cocktail specials and a few Saigon specials, lunch and the regulation nana nap, so I went for a walk to fill in time, up to the Ben Thanh markets, well I had one seller almost follow me around not even believing me that I had no money ( I needed it to get to the airport that night) so after I look around , of which there is everything there, walked around the back streets , checking the sights, locals with their own stalls , selling food and drinks to workers, was very interesting, back again and get ready to go , we had quite a wait at the airport as we where told with the rain it can take about 90 minutes to get there. ( took 35-40 in stop start traffic). So eventually we boarded for Dubai, Emirates had a drink and crackers, which seem to work well as it was straight to sleep, a got full 4 1/2 hours of sleep, then breakfast and flew into Dubai 430am local time, was quite impressive under lights , then to navigate our way around Dubai Airport, there is an underground train system to get between all the terminals, then outside each lift is a water fall , very impressive, then upstairs to the terminal, grabbing a coffee and Kech grabbed a mint tea, with fresh mint in it , time to wander and descover what Dubai had on offer, ohh and another coffeehouse, just so Kech could relax for the next flight , and as our flight was 820 local time , it seemed a little early for a beer.
820 am and we departed Dubai , this meal consisted of a snack to start , drinks movies, couldn't seem to get any sleep, dinner of lamb, and rice, more movies, and we had arrived in Paris.
