Well, what a start with Marakechs health conditions we purchased an airline approved o2 concentrator , after 4 medical clearances from the doctor, Emirates finally approved use of the machine and Jetstarasia approved the carrying on as hand luggage ( but not using onboard, which is fine as it is only a 2 hour flight and a 1 hour flight on Jetstarasia ). We departed for Brisbane international airport for our 4 hour check ( no crew there until 3-3 1/2 hours prior. Another lesson there). Met with the crew manager from Emirates, Mr Curry , another ex pat. From Timaru, was a lovely chap, changed Marakechs connecting flights ( so she didn't have to clear customs at Singapore, and recheck in on the Jetstarasia flight to Saigon , moved so Marakech, had her favored window seat and we had spare seat beside us, Kech was able to lie down on the 2 seats and sort of sleep, we boarded at 0235 am. Finally on our way, we given a menu. Snacks and rolls. And breakfast within 1 hour of landing ( it was a 7 hour flight to Changi airport ). Well a woman on our flight whom we suspect had spent more than 15 minutes in the bar got her roll , demanded to see the head of staff and tore strips off him , demanding a full meal and a wine. I might add a large percentage off the passengers were asleep, I may also add kech and I looked at each other while this was going on, the roll was delicious !!! Bizarre. Slept for about 3 hours. My entertainment screen wouldn't start again after our sleep, but only 2 hours to go. Moved into the middle seat after scrambled eggs for breakfast , we arrived in Changi airport Singapore .

Off to the Jetstarasia desk for our boarding passes to Vietnam , while there she pointed out kechs bags were on a different flight to Saigon , a quick call and sorted it out. Yay. Now 4 hour wait until our flight. Kech was b*****ed from her prior worries and now the baggage concern. Upstairs and $35 later we were in the Plaza lounge, each we showered , ate drunk and relaxed, the best part was the shower and been able to brush your teeth. Lol
Now boarded Jetstarasia only 2 hours to go. We get a pile. Of goodies. Can only assume it's as we were on a Emirates code share flight. Even another meal. Yay
A far bit of turbulence ( the outside air type). And we were in Ho Chi Minh City, crazy traffic seemingly no rules, but I must say a little bit courtesy, and slow speeds do no accidents on our watch.
Met up with Kechs Mum and Dad, Shairmaine and John at the airport, always nice to see a familiar face after a long trip,

Strangely enough Shairmaine had a regular joint to visit after checking into the Grand Hotel Saigon, just across the road it's called The Lucky Plaza, I think it's named as you are lucky to get out with any money , I ended up with a belt , wallet, and shirt after trying to negotiate out of the deal the price kept dropping so I had to buy , kech ended up with trousers and silk scarfs, ended the night up on the roof top bar a few beers, pizzas, followed by down to Dublin donuts at the females insistence , for coffee and donuts. Then home just in the nick off time to watch the end of f1 qualifying. Yay. Time for sleep yay.
