Well hello, hello!!
Our travels have now begin - we left Brisbane yesterday morning to start on our road trip!
Breaking news before we begin. Iain in a moment of Madness decided it was getting to hot and couldn't be bothered with his boy band messy hair do with all the gel so he went to the hairdressers and got a blade 3 all over. We were meant to tell you this last week but forgot. I didn't like it at first but now he really suits it. Everyone one at work calls him BAD BOY BIG YIN!!!!
We had a hectic last week of work - well i did (working til 5:30 with hardly a lunch break and still didn't get everything finished - while Iain had a chilling week while a new person took over his job - lucky him!!)
On Wednesday I (Iain) had my last game of footie with the team Useless FC. We won 6-0, I scored 2 and ended up top goalscorer with 8 in 5 games not bad. My last goal was a cheaky chip to beat the keeper.
Charlotte was taken out by her workmates for a spot of lunch on Thursday and was also given some nice flowers and a card for all her hard work. I on the other hand finished Friday with a half day and a prank on my mate Matt at work to even the scores.
Friday night Charlotte met me at Union Jacks where I was having some going away drinks with the work. I think I had one to many tequila's. Our Flatmate Catrina met us at 8 and we headed back to the house to go out with the rest of our flatmates in the Valley. C recommended that I got a Big Mac to soak up some of the booze.
Our night out was fun and even Matt my workmate met us up later. We all danced the night away. Next morning we got up with a headache but had to do all the house cleaning. We got our bond back which was good.
We went to the train station to validate our train pass before we left on Saturday, What bad luck we had, we got there and it was shut. Only open for half the day on a Saturday!!!
We packed out bags and we have far to much stuff or I do anyway, C seems to be fine. On Saturday night we went to southbank for one last Barbie. The barbie was great but C and I got told off by some police officers that there was no permitted drinking so we had to finish our glasses of wine and put the bottle away. We felt 16 again hiding our drink!!!
When we left on Sunday morning we went for our train lugging all the bags with us. We got to the station and the electronic timetable said next train was 9:10 which meant the one we wanted was a no show or never existed. We called a cab and while we were waiting on the cab the blooming train came and went!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
The cab driver got us to the main train station on time to validate our passes and get on our train to NOOSA. Our first stop on our many travels.
The travelling went okay. I have two big bags to carry, one with my cloths and the other with all our camping gear. Oh what fun!! When we got of the train we had to walk 2k in real hot conditions up hill to a petrol station to pick up our hire car. We should have listeined to the women at the train station who said to get a cab.
On the way we came across this nice old man and he talked away and invited us in for a glass of water. As you know I don't trust many people even nice old men. C and I have heard to many stories so we pretended to rest and he got the hint to leave us alone.
The car was easy to find and its yellow another colour on our Hyunda getz tick list. We arrived at the Noosa river retreat apartments and they are soooooo nice. Spa in the bathroom, balcony over looking the pool, nice big living/kitchen area and a big bed.
Sunday afternoon we drove around the place looking what was on offer and ended up in Noosa heads at a point where the sea and river meet, Was really nice. Had a look at the national park and through the streets. It's a nice place and not to commercial. Definately not tacky like surfers is more like Byron bay.
Today we went to the sunshine beech, wasn't much sunshine but it was nice to chill on a georgous beech. We intended to go to Alexandra beech but C then found out it was a nudiest one. You know me I had the sunglasses on and ready to go. Probably would have got there and seen old wrinkle people.
We also took a trip along to the main beech of Noosa and walked along the promonade. Later tonight we are going to get Fish and Chips out of this cool old shop and head to the beech to eat it. I have put my HP sauce in the car for my chips. We will put this photo on the next time we hit a computer.
Tomorrow we are going to a nougat factory as we seen it on the way into Noosa, C hopes to buy something for our travels. She may need it as we are 6 hours on the train to Rockhampton. Our accomadtion is above a pub so everyone keep your fingers crossed it nice and friendly!!!
Until next time
C and I
