Ko lipe was the 2nd island we chose to visit and wata beauty it was!!!! its one of the smallest inhabited islands in thailand...havin around 500locals living there!! Getting to lipe was one fun adventure....one ild love to do agena nd agen....we got a speed boat there!!! however the waves were soooo rought we weren all over the place!!! defo not for the faint hearted (mum and ang...and prob old dermowermo!!!!) but rich and i found it hilarious!!! Arrivin on the island was nothing that we had experinced b4...normally were greeted wiv lds of ppl tryin 2 get us 2 stay in there acc....wasnt the case here...soooo me and rich just fort wed follow the locals and see wat happened......... it was gr8 ....one minute we were on a tropical beach the nxt lugging our bags through the jungle!!!!! really is a amazin island!!!! Throughout our week in lipe we stayed in 3 differnt types of accomodation.............NUMERO UNO..........yes we followed the locak man to the most expensive resort on the island....and we knew we had once we entered the reception.....looked sooo posh!!!!! but we were tierd and fort our tierd legs deserved a treat...agen!!!!haha!!!!!!! soooo 1400bht later we were sitting in wat seemed like a log cabin wiv air-con!!! was a nice bed....but no hot water.....and out there u expect it wen u pay that much!!!! neho we dint mind to much as we were gna try and find cheaper accom.....howvery first things first.....we had to have a dip in the sea!!!!! it was sooooo lovely...the water was sooo clear and the sand sooo soft....really codnt belive there was a place this beautiful....was like soming u see out of a james bond movie!!!! Afta a much needed dip we went on a hut find....and if we had walked just seconds up the beach we wod have found a reasonable hut 400...no aircon...but fro that price u cant complain....sooo we sed we wod be bak the nxt day...afta having our pic taken a gd few times....its really funny....bcoz we were 2 of the first to arrive b4 peak season kicked in ...it was like we were celbs....one girl came up 2 us and was like can i have my photo taken wiv you please.....v.funny!!! 2nd accom...like i sed dint have aircon just a afan......and was the first hut weve stayed in!!!was gd valut howver we both sufferd that nite and got bit like a gooden and sweeted wat seemed like a litre of liquid...hmmmm mnice hey!!!!! Yet again it dint matter...bcoz if the first day me n richo had walked around the other side we woulda found a dream holiday location........MOUNTAIN RESORT!!! wooooow! When we both saw the bugalows over the mountain peak we both sed to each ova .....how much u rekon then....we both decided lowest wod be 1500!!!!! how wrong were we........!!!!!!We decided inquiring ( we just spent the last few moments deciding if its en/inquiring) wodnt hurt...and im sooo glad we did!!!!! 500bht 7.00 to u and me for the deluxe bungalow....normally 2200 but bcoz it was quiet and out of season she sed she wod do it for this price!!! the room itself made the stay on lipee that much beta...its was trult beautiful....where u lay on the bed...the wall lookin out onto th eview of sea and mountains was literally all glass...and we had a massive wooden balcong too.....where we wod sit and play a few cards!!!! Getting to mountain resort wasnt as easy as we had hoped tho....the morning we woke up to masses of rain...it had been raining all night and dindt look like it was in any hurry to stop....but the true backpackers that we are .... we wacked on our raincoats put our rainprotectors on our bags and headed off in disbelief off others around......that was how determined we were to get to that resort...lol wat wallys your prob thinkin but worth it i can teall you!!!! it was sooo bad that wen we were walking...the puddles that were sooo deep we actually saw kids swiming in them....made us chuckle and the slog that more entertaining......Neway enough about the acc your all prob wondering wat the island was actually like and wat we did for the 7days we were there............well the island is amazin...as ive sed 4 the millionth time.....it was really like stepping on a a desort island....the surroundings were sooo stunning.....mountains . jungles...u literally had everything yould ever want to see. I think i loved it soo much as it was sooo differnt from back home.....across the whole island there were no roads at alll...just dry mud paths(except of course wen it had beeen raining) the village where all the local community lived was gr8 to...the way off life out there is sooo chilled.......they sleep all day and only work wen they have to...and if there not sleeping there eating and if there not eating there all there having a laugh togeather or even as we witnessed putting to c*** togeather to have a fight.....which they did stop in the end. We were lucky enough to have also witnessed a wedding on the island.....was amazing its like a 4day party....where the whole village comes togeather to celebrate....we were asked to join them for free food and drink....its weird as uld neva get that hospatility back home and sometimes you cant help but think ....they defo want summin from us....but the generally dont.....they just love the fact that youve come to there island ....its amazin how sucha small community can spaeak our lingo as much as they can...we even had lil kids asking our names and offering us ice-cream!!!!!! In the days we prity much chilled out on our beach and sunbathed..and eventually got a tan...YAAAY...rich keeps showing me his tan line sayin how gr8 it is!!!lol!!!! at night we went 4 meals out.....one fing about lipee the food it alot more expensive...and the portions can be stingy....but u cant have it all......One nite we went for a drink wiv the locals and su m quality bar...rite on the beach front....was all lite up by candles and had cushions and hamoks everywhere....one of them had a book of english wiv him sooo us all trying to comunicate was amusing....half the time it was obvious both parties dint really have a aclue...but thall defo be a nite we wont 4get in a ahurry!!!!Well as youve prob all noticed i cod go on and on about how gr8 lipee is however ill leave it at that...ooooooo and we made the cutest friends ever....cheack out the pics of the pups...they are soo lovely!!! neho well love u all and leave u till next time xxxmwahxx
