Day 19 - Beijing: Zoo & Aquarium

Today we headed to the Beijing Zoo and Aquarium. The zoo was almost like any other zoo, expect that it wasn't as nice as the Melbourne Zoo; the animal's enclosures were more like cages, sometimes with little vegetation. The highlight was the panda exhibit; we spent a long time watching the pandas. My favourite was one panda who was slumped over like a rag doll; he was trying to lick the ground with his long tongue (I think his tongue is longer than mine). The best part of the day was the Aquarium (which is located in the zoo), there were so many fish, and it is bigger than the Melbourne Aquarium. They had a performance area where we got to see a dolphin show, they can jump really high and balance balls on their noses. I saw Nemo and Dory, watched the jelly fish change color in the light and nearly got eaten by a shark. It was a great day.
