Morning: Well, we didn't even get on the bus to go out of Reykjavik last night as the trip to hunt the lights was cancelled. The weather was awful, pretty rainy and stormy! So we got up this morning and brought forward our blue lagoon trip an hour. We have seen some blue sky today so are wandering if the northern lights trip will go ahead tonight. We have booked a 'nice' restaurant for this eve so maybe we'll try and bring that forward too in case there is any chance the trip goes ahead! It's hard work chasing these lights!!
Evening: We headed off to the blue lagoon and spent a fantastic afternoon smearing white silica mud on our faces and bathing in the hot water with snow falling around us! The water really is the most amazing colour and gets pretty hot in places. I was most excited at the fact you can even sip on a beer or glass of vino from the bar while in the pool! My kinda place, whoop! Off to hunt some lights later... (btw, photo is view from our hotel!)
