Today is our day in Reykjavik before we head out to try and spot the northern lights this evening. We get picked up at 21.30 and won't get back until about 01.30. That will be a bit weird given the lack of alcohol involved! Today we have walked round the Tjornin city pond and have taken in some Viking stories at the Saga museum at the Oskjuhlid. Turns out a substantial number of the Icelandic residents can trace their origins back to Ireland. We get everywhere! Something to do with Vikings taking Irish slaves to be their wives! Off to the the Hallgrimskirja church and the national art museum this afternoon and maybe a wander down to the harbour where we are hoping to book somewhere nice to eat tomorrow night. Fingers crossed the rain and clouds go away for tonight!
