We had heard about a really good aviation museum at Coloundra so decided we we head there in the morning to check it out.
Arriving Charlie was very excited. The museum has a large display of decommissioned aircraft, both domestic and military. We spent a good deal of time wandering around to take it all in.
From the museum we headed down the road to the Caloundra RSL for lunch. We then headed off to Brisbane and checked into a little caravan park near the city.
The evening was spent with old friends originally from Hamilton (Paul & Sharon) and their two kids (James & Rachel). They have lived in Brisbane for the last 11 years now. James is training to be a pilot so Charlie was in his element spending the evening with him. James was super nice to Charlie. He flew with him on his flight simulator, gave him a model Qantas plane and spoke to him at length all about flying. Rachel and the girls also had a great time together. Rachel has been dancing for many years and our girls were keen to learn all about that. Rachel is also extremely neat and tidy. I hope this might have inspired Felicity and Mackayla a little.
Whilst in Brisbane I was also hoping to catch up with my Aunty Beverley and her daughter Alison and her family. I haven't seen them for many years now. Unfortunately it was bad timing and we couldn't make it happen. But I did get to speak to Beverley and Alison's husband Harry on the phone which was nice.
