After getting back from the airport after seeing Low off, me Tom and Ted went for a walk around the botanical gardens... Which are huge! We found a spot overlooking the water and sat for a while in the sun. In the evening we sat around the hostel and had an early night.
The next day it rained a lot, so I had a lazy day doing laundry, washing my hair, etc. I popped out for a walk a couple of times as I'm still trying to get my bearings in Sydney! The next morning my German friend Sebastian was arriving and I'd planned to meet him at the train station. I hadn't seen Seb in over a month since Queenstown, NZ, so was so nice to see him again. Me, Seb and Tom then went for a walk around Sydney, to the Botanical Gardens, and had a good old catch up! In the evening me and Seb went to take advantage of the Haymarket Hotels 'steak & beer deal' and Tom joined us shortly after to go and watch the fireworks down at Darling Harbour, which apparently they do every Saturday. We met Lynda here too. She's a really cool French girl living in Sydney that the boys met in one of their hostels. We all went for a drink at a rooftop bar afterwards but didn't stay out late as me, Tom & Ted were leaving at 4am for our flight to Thailand!!
So for anyone I haven't told (which I'm sorry about - it's all been very last minute!) I have decided to stay out longer than planned. I'm going to Thailand with Tom & Ted for three weeks from 6th till 29th April, where we visit Bangkok, Koh Phangang, Phuket, Krabi, Phi Phi, then back to Sydney. I would love to stay and work in Sydney for a few months... But that's all fund permitting, and whether I find work quickly! So next blog will be from... Bangkok!!
