Quick note on yesterday, our last day in Buenos Aires... We were pretty tired after the trip to Uruguay, and all the walking around BA, so we didn't really fancy a tough day. Unfortunately it was very hot, even at half seven, and I wanted to go for a run around the rose garden, which has a one mile bike track loop, that lots of runners use in BA. Went down, without any breakfast or water as usual, and it was very hot, so I was tired when I came back.... tough luc...

Back in town again for the last two days. Think we are about to go for dinner so let me be brief. Yesterday we cycled in an Ecological Reserve for an hour. Today we went to the craziest market ever in San Telmo, it had all manner of weirdos at it dressed up (weird in a good way), and selling everything imaginable. Live music, live food... madness all around, and it seems to have spread all down a main street for a mile since this morning. We also booked our boat ...

Friday, Regina, Mags and I decided we would go to Tigre to see the area. It is the starting point to most visits to the largest Delta in the world, the Parana delta and is where the river Plata runs through. We took an early train out and then when we arrived took a catamaran ferry around the nearest delta. Along the way there was lots of ship wrecks and lovely houses along the wetlands, and some lovely views. In the galley of the boat there was food on sale, and...

So its probably fair to say we didn't give BA the best chance in the world from day one. The crap version of Paris was a little harsh. I stand by it still as in fainess it still reminds me of a crap version of Paris, the buildings are very Parisienne, the streets are quite dirty and there really is no Eiffel Tower here.
