Made it safely to Manchester. Our accomodations are nice and in what is the Old Fire Station Square". Right across from the university. First night was a little noisy for Sheena and Kevin as they shared a wall with the neighbors. Next day Ken and I went by train to Liverpool. Sheena and Kevin decided to stay in Manchester and tour the city. Liverpool is a lovely city. We went on the Magical Mystery Tour for 2 hours....going to 3 of the Beatles houses, Strawberry Fields, Penny Lane, and ending up at the Cavern Club. Met up with Katie and her husband Kev, who live in Liverpool. I had hired Katie at the bank when they moved to Canada....their move to Canada didn't last long and they went back to Liverpool. We had a great time with them at The Cavern Club, which was so much! People singing along to the band....had great atmosphere!
The next day the guys had tix to a Manchester United game......it was an experience for them. The gals laid low, and watched a few movies......sometimes you just need that down time!
