Arrived on Koh Phangan after an hour or so boat journey from Koh Tao and jumped in to a shared Taxi at the port and headed to Haad Rin Beach (where the swedes etc were all planning to stay). A few guys I'd met on the boat to Koh Tao had recommended staying at Sea View villas at the end of Haadrin Beach so headed there, checking out a few other places along the way to be sure! The place was really good value in comparison to the others and I had a great room, however I would recommend girls travelling on their own to stay nearer to the Cactus Bar etc or get a friend to walk you home as it is's not the best walk back to do on your own at night.

Haadrin Beach is really really fun the evenings (although girls should watch their drinks as it can be a bit sleazy and apparently drink-spiking is rife) and I'd recommend checking out the other beaches on the Island during the day as years of full moon parties have taken their toll on Haadrin beach a bit!

Unfortunately I wasn't very adventurous whilst on Koh Phangan as I spent the days playing frisbee, swimming and sunbathing and the nights partying at Cactus Bar and Drop In Bar on Haadrin Beach!...hmm not unlike my time in Koh Tao!!!...it's a hard life!!...no fireballs to the face this time though!

Really enjoyed Koh Phangan but was ready to move on after 5 days so I headed over to Koh Phi Phi which I was very excited about! It's quite a long trip from the Islands off the east coast (night boat to Surratani, bus ride to Krabi, then boat journey to Phi Phi!) but well worth it...
