5th OctoberAnna, Lisa and I hired bikes to check out Patuxay Memorial (built on the capital's main north-south avenue in the 1960s to celebrate the independence struggle) and the main Wat (have forgotten the name though!). Pretty much a flying visit to Vientiene as jumped on the overnight bus to Bangkok that evening.

Had a lovely time in Luang Prabang, it's so relaxed there it's virtually horizontal!! It's a really pretty city with a lovely night market that they set up in the street.
