Anna, Lisa and I hired bikes to check out Patuxay Memorial (built on the capital's main north-south avenue in the 1960s to celebrate the independence struggle) and the main Wat (have forgotten the name though!).

Pretty much a flying visit to Vientiene as jumped on the overnight bus to Bangkok that evening.
