Had a lovely time in Luang Prabang, it's so relaxed there it's virtually horizontal!! It's a really pretty city with a lovely night market that they set up in the street. The visit to the waterfall was excellent and also did a slow boat trip down the Mekong River...visiting the caves and a Mekong Whisky Village (pretty harsh trying that stuff at 11am...but when in Rome!!)

3rd October

Arrived in Vang Vieng from Luang Prabang on 2nd October and shared a room with Lisa and Anna (who I met on the boat trip in Luang Prabang). The following day we went tubing down the river which was cool and then spent the rest of the time lazing around on cushions watching films! (The town is basically geared up to kayaking and tubing and all the restaurants and bars have platform seating with cushions and show films all day/ night...you bascially dont have to stand up for most of the time you're there!!)

4th October

Had an early start to jump in some kayaks and paddle south to Vientene (capital)...well not the 'entire' way as it's 130k!! Had a great day and arrived in Vientiene late afternoon. Not the easiest place to find good cheap places to stay, so we opted for cheap and checked in to a pretty minging guesthouse in the centre!
