Colleen & Tom's Explorations
We started our day with breakfast up at La Terrazza (greeted by name by the Hungarian waiter - how do they do that??). We went to a talk about Huatulco, then came back for a nap before lunch but were woken by the shore excursion lady getting some details for the Fort Lauderdale excursion. We went down to the dining room for lunch - Mexican themed of course. The girls who assigns us to a table no longer needs to know our room number, she remembers us too!! And we don't go there all the time. After a long lunch I did a load of washing, did some repairs on the run for one of Tom's shirts, and had a proper nap. Then we visited the library for Tom to borrow some DVDs and had a cocktail up by the pool. It's really warm today so we didn't stay too long. Grahame and Cheryl were there. Cheryl came over to chat and when we made to leave to go to another talk, this one about Puerto Chiapas, she decided to join us. The talk was really interesting, and Cheryl seemed to want to keep chatting. Then Tom said he needed a shower before dinner, and she asked if they could join us for dinner. So we went to the dining room and asked for our favourite table in the area looked after by Allan the waiter, and told them we would be joined by the Kellys. Grahame was told politely to go and get a jacket to conform to tonight's dress standards (it's so nice to see a ship that enforces that), so we had to wait a little while longer to have him come and join us. Dinner was nice, crab, followed by clam chowder and then veal steak. I had a cheese platter for dessert, just with Camembert and appenzeller cheeses. They don't have Brie and the Danish blue is not as nice as Castello. The appenzeller is lovely - reminds me of when we visited that area of Switzerland. By the time Cheryl finished her cup of tea we were basically ready to retire. They are really nice people who are accustomed to travelling in a group. We don't like travelling in a group. Urghhhh.
