Ive done nothing today!

Sat up on the internet most of last night until about midnight. I had a couple of drinks with the people in my room and then went to bed, slept ten hours and woke up at 10am this morning, thick with a cold - thanks Adam!

Ive tried to keep my distance from him, but it hasnt worked and Ive now caught his minging bug and Im suffering (you know what Im like - drama queen)!

I havent seen him all day, I left him asleep in the room with everyone else, I was the only one awake when I left. Okay for some! I went for a wander around town, even went up the sky tower - its massive. Theres about six floors, a theatre, 17 bars and restaurants, a casino and a hotel. Theres even a convention centre connecting to the back of it!

I walked to the far side of town to Victoria Park Market and had a look around the market stalls. I didnt buy anything but it made a nice change to look around somewhere I hadnt been before.

I headed back into town and grabbed a bite to eat before coming back to the hostel. Im not sure what Im doing tonight, might see if Adam and the guys in the room want to see a film tonight - theres a few films that are out here that arent out back home.

We are flying to Christchurch on the south island tomorrow night for nine days - Im really excited because we are planning on doing some cool things - white water rafting, walking on Franz Josef glacier and a possible bungee jump (but dont hold your breathes)!!

Just incase any of you have been trying to call me or have txd me - I have no credit (complete backpacker for the next two weeks!) I forgot to top up in Australia before coming out here and obviously vodafone in New Zealand wont top up an Australian sim card - stupid or what!? The only way I could get credit is if I buy a New Zealand number - but it seems abit pointless for two weeks and for $35 NZD.
