This morning we have planned for a sleep in to catch up, none of us lasted past 7am so it still ended up being an early start. We got up and went downstairs in the pub and all had a full English breakfast - very yum! Then we got ready for the day ahead. Before leaving the pub we were busy talking and Navajo and I decided we’d start our pool playing career, it’s fair to say we are absolutely terrible! Dad said he’s never seen a game take so long or so many balls missed! But that was only the start of it!
After deciding out pool was too terrible to watch we loaded up the car, with Caz and wee Molly and headed to Woolacombe for the day. The drive there was a real shock for Navajo as the roads were no bigger than the size of the cars with big hedges on either side! I think they’re possibly even worse than Welsh roads! We got to the stunning wee sea side town and headed up for a look around the town and then stopped for a coffee in a cafe over looking the beach. After everyone was energised we headed down for a walk on the beach - amazing sand and the beach just went for ever, though the water was freezing still! We had fun entertaining Molly on the beach while she ran around in the sand - though it took a while to get her down as she didn’t want to touch the sand, it was very cute.
We decided to play a game of adventure mini golf before we left, it was very entertaining but a very cool course! Dad was very competitive and didn’t like the fact he only got one hole in one whole Navajo got 4.
Then we went for lunch in one of the restaurants and all got a bit burnt sitting outside but lunch was very good. Molly started to get a bit tired and grumpy so we loaded up the truck and headed to Caz’s local pub in Luxborough. IT WAS SO OLD! The roof was so low and the floor and everything made from stone and brick, it was pretty awesome to see. We all had a drink and Navajo and I decided we needed to continue our pool career - after another four games I think it was fair to say we still hadn’t really improved! After a few drinks we headed back to the Rest and be thankful pub (the one we were staying at) and had some dinner. With Navajo and I still eager to improve our pool we played another 4 more rounds - I think there had to have been some slight improvement by the end!
The night needed with some good yarns and a few drinks and then we headed off to bed ready to make a move to the next place tomorrow.
