Today we toured the city of Melbourne. It was cool and a light rain for the morning. We decide to take the train into town and then hopped on the tourist trams in town for a bit of a tour. Melbourne seems quite different than any other city we visited in AU. It is a
city of many old historic buildings with very contemporary buildings mingled along side. In the heart of the city there were small cafes along allies that had a European feel where you could buy soups, baguettes, coffee and sweets. We did get down to the harbour and waterfront.
We will be leaving Australia tomorrow it's hard to believe we have spent a month here. It looks like we have survived floods, cyclones, poisonous snakes and spiders, sharks, stinger jellyfish and bush fires!!
We have enjoyed our time immensely on this smallest continent and largest island in the world!!

Sheila Wow, I can't believe you're already moving on from Australia! I'm glad to hear you should be able to pick up your van without any problems. I look forward to hearing about your days in New Zealand!
Emily Hi! Great photos and travel journal! Bet you are having a great time. Don't forget about us back in snow-covered Minnesota.
